School Performance

Now that school's out for the summer, I'll be updating more frequently and trying really hard to catch up to what's going on currently.

Early in the beginning of the school year, the girls got to participate in a school performance called Music Around The World.  They learned a ton of songs, and some kids got to play instruments or were selected to sing a special part in one of the many songs that were sung that night.  Each of the girls got to participate in a special way.

Grace was so excited to be in another school performance.  She was given a "costume" (or in her case, a large white shirt) to wear for the program because she got to play the xylophone during one of the songs.

You can tell in the video below just how excited she was when it was finally time for her to come down off the stage and play the xylophone (and a bonus-her best friend was playing the xylophone right next to her!).  She did a really good job!

Gwen got to wear a really special costume for the performance.  She was really excited about it too, but after the performance she told us how sweaty the costume and hat made her and that she was glad she didn't have to wear it again!!

Gwen got to wear the special costume because she was selected to sing part of the opening song-Children All Over The World.  The video below is her singing with another girl from her grade who was selected to sing.

They both practiced so hard to memorize all the songs (we especially heard Gwen's song quite a few times over the month before the program), and they both did such a great job.  We couldn't be any prouder of them!!

(oh and here's a little gem of someone who discovered her nose had holes while we were there haha)
